Android M Update Revoked!!!

Android M update has been revoked for Zenfone 2 ZE551ML / ZE550ML after releasing It.

Asus has planned to Release Android M in the Q2 of  2016 for its various laser and zenfone 2 devices. Also, beta testers are recruited to test the OS stability.

From the starting of this month, Asus started releasing Android M update to its various device. All of the devices which runs on Qualcomm processors got the update IE: ZenFone Laser ZE500KL,ZE550KL, and Zenfone max.  

Still users commenting that they found some critical bug in this new update IE:BATTERY Drainage problem, Asus have a form to communicate with users and now the form is full of bug list. 

All through Asus has maintained his users using some techniques and moderators on the form. I am a blogger of Zenfone and a lot of visitors complain me about various bugs, So I make the thread form and so Moderators know about it in ZenTalk. I am also a Zenfone 2 Laser user and I am facing huge Battery drainage bug.

After all, Asus finally released Android M update to its Intel-based processor phones, Zenfone 2 ZE551Ml, ZE550ML. 

I suddenly saw on social media Screenshots of Android M Update. It was a delay for the Intel-based phone because when Asus come out with its device list which will get Android M there the Intel-based phone is on top so users are thinking that Zenfone 2 Intel based phone will get the update first. 

When it came to an end of Q2 Asus still didn't say anything about intel based phone but Qualcomm based phones got the update, some users really got anger. XD

After all, I ask Asus that why is so delay for Intel Atom based phones .. Asus replied that " Intel In not helping us with the latest driver required us to port Android M for the phone"

This might be the reason the device got the update later. Now a few days ago Asus has released Android M for Intel Atom based phone but that gone Wrong.

some users complained about HUGE BUG  so Asus have to forcefully shut down the update process.

After the update released I check in ZenTalk for the Release notes and also I checked in Download section but still I can't find anything. 

But Users are still posting about bug's in Zen talk and Moderators are helping them out. 

I managed to get the OTA Download link from a user so I linked that into my Zenfone 2 Android M blog post. After 1 day I found that the OS has been removed by Asus. It was like an experiment on the Zenfone 2 Users

I personally think intel also has some problem and Asus too. Beta testers have been taken still bugs. And Even the spelling of ANDROID in OTA update was also wrong.. :D 

What we can expect with this multinational company.

Android M BETA-Build released for BETA testers

Today Asus has released a BETA-Build version of Android M for Laser Devices.

Today Few user claim to got a firmware update for Zenfone 2 laser ZE500KL 5.0 Inch device.

About a month ago Asus started recruiting BETA testers for Zenfone 2(ZE551ML/ZE550ML) devices on ZenTalk and many users registered for this beta Version Firmware testing. Few Week ago Asus again started recruiting BETA tester for Zenfone 2 Laser device(ONLY ZE500KL). In this recruitment too Asus got lots of Beta testers across the India. 

Today few users posted a screenshot on GOOGLE PLSU BETA TESTING COMMUNITY of newly released Beta Firmware for Asus Zenfone 2 Laser ZE500KL. Android M beta is released for ZE500KL so early then zenfone 2. Personally, I think there are lots of bugs present in BETA OS for Zenfone 2. Even if you see the update log at ZenTalk you will notice that each update of lollipop for zenfone 2 fixes a lot of bugs each time. Well, it's a good news that finally we are at the edge to get a  Bugg Less firmware from Asus.  Asus trying harder  to release a STABLE OS for their users.

Android M release time frame was Q2 of this Year(2016). It means within 3 month(april,may,june)any time we will get update of Android M in our devices.I think Zenfone 2 Laser ZE500KL will get the update first because it is passed all LAB experiments and finally it is released for FEW CHOOSEN people to use and Report if any BUG found on OS.

The Beta Buil Package name is MMB29P.WW_Phone-13.10.5.25.20160312

The package Size is About 1GB(1,086.76 MB).

ZenFone 2 Laser Beta testing is now Recruiting.

Asus started Recruiting Beta testers for Asus ZenFone 2 Laser

Well after recruiting beta tester for Asus ZenFone 2, Asus Started Recruiting Beta Testers for Asus Zenfone 2 Laser devices too. It will also indicate that the Update of Android 6.0 is ready to roll out after tested on few Beta testers devices.

What is a Beta Tester: When you apply for Beta Tester of Android 6.0 then Asus will provide you Firmware Update Earlier than other's. Now it's your job is to use the OS and verify Its stable or having any bug. If any Bug present you have to report it to Developer team and they will Fix the OS. At the end, A stable OS will be released for PUBLIC or FOR everyone having that Specific device.

In this Recruitment, Asus is Accepting only users having Zenfone 2 laser ZE500KL model. In future, they may also start taking Other Laser devices like ZenFone 2 Laser (ZE550KL / ZE600KL). Personally, I am also a Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5" User and waiting for next recruitment. I am so much excited to be a beta tester but it's not for my device. Hopefully, those having Zenfone ZE500KL model with WW version of Firmware can apply for BETA testers.

NOTE: Its strongly Not recommended for Common users.

What are required to be a Beta Tester?

• Be a member of ZenTalk
• OWN a ZenFone 2 Laser and is willing to provide detail information including IMER, Serial Number(SN), Current Firmware for the beta testing Setting 
• Be able to read and provide feedback in ENGLISH
• Be familiar with Android Operating system
• Understanding the Beta Firmware may not be as stable as the official release version.

What will a Beta Tester have?

• Get the Latest Firmware (Beta Version) by FOTA and experience the latest ZenUI featured
• Authorised to access the rested board
• get a Beta tester welcome badge
• Be given 5 Zen Credits by Reporting a valid bug.

What is the responsibility of a Beta Tester?

• Participate every Beta version release and test on a daily basis
• Report valid bugs with correct format
• Contact Moderator ( ZenClub_Zendora ) when encountered any serious bug
• Maintain confidentiality of the Beta Testing Program
